We are looking to strengthen our Construction team with Electrical Site Supervisors based within the Central Belt and North East (Aberdeen to Dundee) area for Scottish Water.

You will report directly to the M & E Manager/ Lead Site Supervisor, and your role will supervise and control all electrical site activities efficiently, in accordance with the specifications and within the contract timeframe, ensuring health and safety standards are met and delivering a quality end product with a focus on quality installation as work progresses.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supervision of site electrical installations
  • Maintaining SHE standards and ensuring safe systems of work are followed
  • Producing high-quality work consistent with current standards and specifications
  • Verification of new electrical systems
  • Safe isolation of LV electrical systems
  • Monitoring supply chain performance and project programme
  • Reviewing and updating supplier inspection and test plans relevant to work activities
  • Attending site inductions and toolbox talks
  • Supporting commissioning activities as required
  • Participating in collaborative planning meetings and contributing to site delivery programmes
  • As Electrical Appointed Person, ensuring adherence to electrical safety rules and maintaining supporting documentation as per CMDP electrical safety standards
  • Carrying out electrical isolations
  • Conducting regular electrical safety inspections on equipment
  • Holding 1:1 meetings with supply chain supervisors, ensuring take 5s are completed
  • Assisting with project takeover documentation
  • Overseeing electrical testing in line with BS7671, reviewing results against guidance notes and manufacturer literature
