Job summary

Carrington West in Glasgow is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering infrastructure projects across Scotland. You will oversee day-to-day site operations, coordinate labour and subcontractors, and ensure works are delivered safely and to programme targets.

Responsibilities include site briefings, maintaining quality, liaising with clients and stakeholders, and producing accurate site records.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and site management.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and direct labour.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple work activities while maintaining quality and programme.
• SMSTS or SSSTS preferred.
• CSCS Card required contextually or preferred.
• Full UK Driving Licence held.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day site operations across multiple civil engineering projects.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, plant and materials.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with programme requirements.
• Carry out site briefs, toolbox talks and promote a strong health and safety culture.
• Monitor progress and report updates to the Project Manager.
• Ensure quality standards are achieved and any issues are resolved promptly.
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders and the wider project team.
• Maintain accurate site records, daily diaries and relevant documentation.
