A recruitment consultancy is looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to manage civil engineering projects across various locations. The role requires strong leadership and technical skills and is specifically for ex-military individuals. Accommodation and food are included while working away from home. Successful candidates will uphold health and safety standards and lead site operations effectively.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Supervisor to lead and oversee civil engineering and infrastructure works across various project locations.
This hands-on role requires strong leadership, technical ability, and a commitment to health and safety.

Our client specialises in delivering large-scale technical infrastructure projects, particularly in highly secure and regulated environments (predominantly MOD Sites).
Their expertise includes the design, installation, and commissioning of advanced communications networks—both domestic and international.
They work extensively with secure fibre network systems, radar and radio navigation technologies, and a wide range of IT and communications infrastructure, adhering to strict government and military standards.
Their services cover everything from underground ducting and cabling to full-spectrum ICT and C4I system installations.
They also offer tailored construction solutions, including roofing, groundwork, drainage, and access infrastructure. Additionally, they provide end-to-end project management, ensuring cost control, compliance, and high-quality execution tailored to complex client needs
Please note: This role requires working away from home, often for extended periods — including stays of several weeks or months, depending on the site.
Key Responsibilities:
-Set up and manage site operations from mobilisation to completion
-Interpret and work from technical drawings and plans
-Set out works accurately, including according to rebar/bar bending schedules
-Supervise and coordinate labourers and subcontractors
-Ensure health & safety standards are upheld at all times
-Conduct daily briefings and toolbox talks
-Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients as needed
-Maintain site records, including site diaries and health & safety documentation
Essential Requirements:
-SSSTS or SMSTS Certification (in-date)
-Proven experience supervising groundwork and structural works
-Strong understanding of rebar installation and setting out to bar schedules
-Ability to read and interpret construction plans
-Health & Safety trained with a strong awareness of site protocols
-First Aid at Work Certificate (minimum 3-day course)
-Fire Marshal training
-Excellent communication and leadership skills
-Full UK driving licence
