Job description

NNES Fircroft are currently recruiting for a Site Supervisor for our client, who are a leading power cabling company.

Site Supervisor

Location: Durham
Contract position

Responsibilities
  1. Responsible for all activities on cable route, for example survey, enabling works (access points, fencing, soil stripping, haul road construction and pre-con drainage installation), trench and joint bay excavations, cable laying, jointing and backfilling and where appropriate test depending on the given delegation.
  2. Identify risks (including HSE) and opportunities and report to Site Manager/Project Installation Manager.
  3. Conduct proactive work and decide on actions to mitigate identified risks.
  4. Assist the Site Management team to plan the work on the site (scheduling of working hours and activities) such that safety related risks are eliminated or minimized.
  5. Ensure that the work will be performed according to Health & Safety and Environmental plans.
  6. Follow up the time schedule and report deviation and changes to the PIM.
  7. Coordination of subcontractors.
  8. Report to the Project Installation Manager (PIM) or Senior Site Installation Manager (Sr SIM) which has given him/her the duty under delegation for a specific project.
  9. Report status/progress in accordance with the project reporting procedure, for example daily report from the land site.
  10. Ensure that the registration of deviation of Quality and HSE for the installation/service part is carried out throughout the project period and that reporting is submitted to PIM and the Q& HSE responsible in the project.
  11. When necessary participate on site meeting with client. Responsible for employee performance documentation and feedback to department management.
