Job summary

Carbon 60 is seeking a Site Supervisor for a major industrial construction project in Portsmouth. You will support the Site Management team, supervise day-to-day site operations and coordinate groundworks, infrastructure and steel frame activities to ensure on-time delivery and quality.

The role requires proven experience on large Tier 1 schemes, strong leadership and the ability to manage multiple subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Site Supervisor, General Foreman or Assistant Site Manager on large-scale construction projects.
• Experience on Tier 1 main contractor schemes is essential.
• Strong background in delivering groundworks and industrial construction projects.
• Experience supervising steel frame construction packages is essential.
• Ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and work packages simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Management team with day-to-day supervision of site operations.
• Oversee subcontractors and ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
• Coordinate and supervise groundworks, infrastructure and steel frame activities.
• Monitor site progress and raise any operational issues to the management team.
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks and site inductions.
• Liaise with subcontractors, project stakeholders and the wider project team.
• Maintain accurate site records, permits and site documentation.

The Opportunity

An established main contractor is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to support the delivery of a major industrial construction project in the Portsmouth area. The project consists of a substantial groundworks and infrastructure package, followed by the construction and installation of large steel frame structures.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded contractor on a significant project with a strong pipeline of future work.
