Site Supervisor

Location : Manchester

Salary : Competitive

Contract Type : Permanent

Working Hours : 40 hours per week Monday-Friday

What you'll do

Ground Control is looking for a proactive Site Supervisor to lead day-to-day vegetation management works on live rail sites across the Manchester area. You’ll oversee field teams and subcontractors ensure safe systems of work and deliver projects to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up safe sites and ensure full safety compliance.
  • Deliver toolbox talks and promote hazard / close-call reporting.
  • Supervise daily operational tasks to meet client specifications.
  • Manage site access / egress and complete project documentation.
  • Lead motivate and hold site teams accountable.
  • Represent Ground Control professionally on-site and provide updates to Site Management.
What you'll need
Essential
  • COSS
  • PTS
  • IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS
  • Experience supervising sites in rail or arboriculture
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Good understanding of safety legislation and operational procedures
Desirable
  • PIC
  • Arboriculture experience or technical knowledge of vegetation management
  • First Aid Qualification
