We are working on behalf of a well-regarded primary school in Aylesford to recruit an experienced and dedicated Site Supervisor to join their friendly and committed site team. This is a full-time role, offering a varied and rewarding workload within a supportive school environment.
As Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining the security, cleanliness, and overall upkeep of the school premises. This includes daily site checks, minor maintenance, emergency cleaning, and supporting school lettings. You'll play a vital role in ensuring the site is safe, welcoming, and fit for purpose at all times.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting daily site walks and checks to maintain cleanliness and safety
Performing general caretaking duties, including minor maintenance and painting
Managing external contractors on site and overseeing deliveries
Opening/locking the premises and ensuring building security
Supporting school lettings, which may include occasional weekend work
Supervising cleaning staff and ensuring high standards are maintained
Monitoring utilities and reporting any maintenance or safety issues
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience in a similar role (school setting experience desirable)
Good working knowledge of site maintenance, cleaning, and Health & Safety procedures
A proactive, can-do attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to support out-of-hours lettings and emergency callouts if needed
Strong organisational skills and a sense of pride in maintaining high site standards
Desirable qualifications and skills include:
Level 2 qualification (or equivalent experience)
Awareness of COSHH, manual handling, and other relevant H&S procedures
Basic IT and record-keeping abilities
