Description
As a Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for local operational teams who deliver the day-to-day aspects of mains laying and new suppliers to developers of all types and sizes.

You will supervise the teams, ensuring that the work is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to our client's expectations. You will provide operational management, ensuring that the work is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to our client's expectations.

In addition to Health and Safety, customer service is critical to our work. You will ensure that work is carried out in a manner that builds the confidence of developers and adopts a 'right first time' approach. Recognising that developers have paid for mains laying and new supplies to their site/property, you will work with the relevant teams to ensure programmes are managed and delivered accordingly.

Satisfaction of developers is measured through a new regulatory measure called D-MeX. You will work closely with Yorkshire Water to influence a dramatic improvement in the D-MeX measure and demonstrate management skills to genuinely care about the ratings developers give of Network Plus's services.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Have operational supervisory responsibility for a designated group of Developer Services teams and their daily activities.
  2. Organise labour in the most cost-effective way, including recruitment, disciplinary action, wages, and absence management.
  3. Manage all other resources, e.g., materials and plant.
  4. Ensure accurate information is captured of works undertaken, including photographs and as-laids.
  5. Visit teams at local site level, review progress and performance, and ensure standards are adhered to.
  6. Carry out team briefings monthly; coach and develop operational teams to reach their potential.
  7. Complete team inspections, ensuring high compliance levels with a focus on quality and right first-time operational delivery.
  8. Be a Health & Safety Representative; undertake health & safety inspections in and around the workplace, raise health and safety-related matters with management, and investigate reportable accidents or incidents as they occur.

Experience and Qualifications
  1. Relevant qualifications related to the work being carried out, e.g., NRWSA at supervisory level.
  2. Health & Safety qualification is advantageous.
  3. Deep excavation knowledge and experience.
  4. Good management skills.
  5. Excellent communication skills.
  6. Financial and commercial awareness.
  7. Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
  8. Full UK Driving Licence.
