SITE SUPERVISOR
Our client requires the services of a Works Site Supervisor for the construction phase of the A320 HIF project.
Responsibilities
- The day-to-day supervision of the contract, liaising with the Contractor, Design Consultants and wider delivery team.
- Inspections of the works for compliance with the Contract.
- Testing of materials and supplied products (where required).
- Dealing with variations and compensation events (in consultation with the PM/QS).
- Inspecting the contractor's progress against contract scope and programme.
- Dealing with non-conformances and defects.
- Dealing with safety.
- Attendance at CTMP, CEMP and WTMM.
- Assisting the PM and QS in monthly valuations.
- Exhibit professional behaviours and effective communication with the appointed contractors' staff, calm and measured approach.
- Able to professionally manage interrelationships with the contractor where there are differences of opinion for example on defects raised.
Qualifications / Requirements
- The role of Site Supervisor as defined under the NEC Contract.
- The A320 is an NEC Option B contract and so will need to be conversant/have significant experience with this form of contract.
- Have significant experience in the delivery/construction of highways infrastructure projects.
- Preferably have worked on Local highway Authority projects.
- CSCS card holder (e.g. gold supervisor card).
- NRSWA qualified.
- Base location will be the construction site north of Woking and attendance is required 5 days a week and some weekends.
