Description

As a Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for local operational teams who deliver the day-to-day aspects of Repair and Maintenance of the water network. You will supervise the teams, ensuring that work is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to our client’s expectations. In addition to Health and Safety, customer service is critical. You will ensure work is carried out in a manner that builds confidence with developers and adopts a ‘right first time’ approach. Developer satisfaction is measured through a new regulatory measure called C-MeX. You will work closely with Severn Trent Water.

Key Responsibilities
  • Have operational supervisory responsibility for a designated group of Repair and Maintenance teams and their daily activities
  • Organise labour in the most cost-effective way, including recruitment, disciplinary action, wages, and absence management
  • Manage resources such as materials and plant
  • Ensure accurate documentation of works undertaken, including photographs
  • Visit sites to review progress and performance and ensure standards are met
  • Conduct team briefings monthly; coach and develop operational teams
  • Complete team inspections focusing on quality and right first-time delivery
  • Act as a Health & Safety Representative, conducting workplace inspections, raising safety concerns, and investigating incidents
Experience and Qualifications
  • Relevant qualifications, e.g., NRWSA at supervisory level
  • Health & Safety qualification (advantageous)
  • Good management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Financial and commercial awareness
  • Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Full UK Driving Licence
