Join a team where art meets engineering excellence.

Dalkia UK is looking for a highly capable Site Supervisor with electrical bias to lead our onsite building services operation at Tate Britain — one of the world’s iconic cultural landmarks. This is a unique opportunity to work in an environment where maintaining optimal environmental conditions is as vital as preserving the art itself.

What You’ll Do

As Site Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for overseeing all mechanical and electrical building maintenance services — from planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works to technical troubleshooting and subcontractor management. You’ll lead a team of skilled engineers, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while maintaining the high standards our client expects.

You’ll also:

  • Oversee day-to-day maintenance of all mechanical and electrical building systems, including BMS, heating & cooling systems, AHU’s, humidifiers, LV electrical distribution services & lighting, drainage, water treatment, security systems, and life safety systems
  • Manage a small team and liaise with subcontractors and specialist service providers
  • Act as the primary technical contact for the client, representing Dalkia with professionalism and a solutions-first approach
  • Ensure critical environmental conditions are maintained for artwork preservation
  • Support on-site events and minor project works as needed
  • Communicate with clients, be responsive to their needs and aims and exceed expectations.

You’re someone who thrives in a high-responsibility environment, with a background in building services and team leadership. Your technical skills are matched by a proactive mindset and a sharp eye for detail.

  • A full Apprenticeship in Building Services Maintenance or equivalent
  • 18th Edition Institute of Electrical Engineers (I.E.E) Registration or recognised equivalent; or Electrical Apprenticeship – gained within the building services industry
  • Proven experience in building maintenance and supervisory roles
  • Strong problem-solving and organisational skills

· Full UK driving licence

  • City & Guilds, HNC/HND, or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, or HVAC
  • LV certificate of appointment of an Electrical Authorised Person (AP)
  • Health & Safety certifications
  • Experience in gallery or museum environments

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a professional and supportive team at one of London’s most prestigious locations
  • Lead vital services that help preserve priceless artwork
  • Career development and training opportunities
  • Competitive salary and benefits package, inclusive of generous pension contributions, employee discounts, private medical and much more
  • Access to Various other Tate Sites in London using the Uber Boat Thames Clipper Service or staff Shuttle Bus
