A well-established civil engineering contractor in Reading is seeking a Site Supervisor to support daily site operations for a major infrastructure scheme. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in groundworks and reinforced concrete structures, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards. Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Supervisor on civil engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in groundworks and reinforced concrete frame structures.
• SSSTS, and a valid CSCS card are essential.
• Previous experience on secure or regulated sites is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily site activities relating to groundworks, service diversions, and RC frame works.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with project standards and specifications.
• Coordinate labour, plant, and materials on site to maintain smooth operations.
• Deliver site inductions and enforce adherence to health & safety policies.
• Understand technical drawings and coordinate with engineers to ensure compliance with design specifications.

Site Supervisor - Civil Engineering (Groundworks & RC Frames)

Location: Reading

Duration: 1 Year

Pay: £290 to £330 (DOE)

Red Sky Personnel is working with a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering a major infrastructure scheme in the Reading area. They are looking for a Site Supervisor with solid experience in groundworks, utilities, and reinforced concrete structures to support daily site operations on a technically complex and high-profile project.

The site operates within a secure and regulated environment, so candidates must be eligible for clearance and willing to undergo background checks as part of the onboarding process.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily site activities relating to groundworks, service diversions, and RC frame works
• Ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with project standards and specifications
• Coordinate labour, plant, and materials on site to maintain smooth operations
• Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and enforce adherence to health & safety policies
• Monitor work quality and progress; report issues or delays to the Site Manager or Project Manager
• Support the preparation and management of site documentation including daily records, RAMS, and progress reports
• Ensure the site is maintained in a clean, organised, and safe condition
• Promote and uphold a strong health & safety culture among the workforce
• Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with the client counterpart
• Record daily activities and outputs accurately
• Attend Daily Activity Briefings (DABs)
• Understand technical drawings and coordinate with engineers to ensure compliance with design specifications
• Work in line with the client's logistics plan and manage deliveries accordingly
