Job summary

Arla Foods is seeking a Site Services Technician to join the Oakthorpe dairy engineering team. You will maintain services across the site per the preventive maintenance programme and perform corrective maintenance on critical equipment, including boilers, refrigeration, DAF, and HVAC systems.

The ideal candidate holds an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering qualification with experience in regulated environments and Hard FM/site services.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ or a recognised engineering qualification, with experience in reactive and planned preventative maintenance in regulated environments.
• Experience in Hard FM or similar site services roles.
• HV/LV systems experience would be highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain services across the site in line with the Planned Preventative Maintenance programme and provide corrective maintenance when equipment fails.
• Conduct equipment and plant condition appraisals and work with OEMs when services are carried out.
• Ensure QEHS compliance (Legionella, fire safety, PSSR, LOTO) and authorise permits; ensure safe and controlled work.

Are you interested in working in our Site Services team?

We have an exciting for a Site Services Technician to join our Oakthorpe dairy engineering team. This would be joining an established engineering team within a well invested fast- paced production site.

How would you make an impact

• Maintaining services across the site in line with our Planned Preventative Maintenance programme and provide corrective maintenance in case of site equipment failure and breakdown across the following; Industrial steam boiler, waste heat boiler, refrigeration plant, DAF plant, hot & cold water systems, heat exchangers, cooling tower, HVAC maintenance.
• Conduct equipment and plant condition appraisals and work alongside the OEM's when services are carried out
• Awareness of relevant QEHS compliance within the role such as Legionella, fire safety, PSSR, LOTO.
• Authorise permits and ensure the work is being carried out in a safe and controlled manner.

What will make you successful?

The ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 NVQ or a recognised engineering qualification, with experience in both reactive and planned preventative maintenance and a background in working within regulated environments. You will also have previous experience in Hard FM or similar site services roles, bringing a positive and resilient approach to problem‑solving, teamwork and continuous improvement. Experience with HV/LV systems would be highly desirable.
