Job summary

Newly Weds Foods Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a Site Services Operative to support the hygiene manager across offices, utilities and canteen areas. The role involves following SOPs, maintaining hygiene standards and contributing to a tidy, safe workspace on site.

You will learn and perform duties safely, with emphasis on GMP, food safety, allergen control and waste reduction, while supporting audits and daily housekeeping tasks in a busy facility.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Good Manufacturing Practice, Food safety and allergen procedures are followed at all times.
• Operate 'clean as you go' and carry out other hygiene duties as directed by your manager.
• Read and understand instruction (written and/or verbal), follow SOPs accurately.
• Ensure documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Actively work towards a zero level of complaints for your area and work to a 'Right first time' policy.
• To work to Company objectives of minimal waste, maximum efficiency, conserving energy where possible and if appropriate switching machines off when not in use.
• Understand and follow cleaning instruction cards
• Carry out post cleaning checks
• Monitor and restock soap/sanitiser/barrier cream within toilets, canteens and NPD kitchen
• Monitor and restock gloves, hair nets, beard snoods etc. dispensers within reception, changing rooms and warehouses.
• Restock laundry lockers and place soiled overalls in laundry bags ready for collection
• Check cleaning and personal protective equipment to work correctly at all times
• Provide PPE for site visitors as required
• Monitor and carry out weekly stock control of cleaning equipment and PPE
• Provide support and assistance to the hygiene Team during customer audits
• To undertake training as required.

The Role

• To work as a Site Services Operative as part of the Site services team, to support the hygiene manager to improve standards throughout jigsaw foods offices, utilities and canteen areas with accordance to cleaning schedule.
• Following appropriate training, you will undertake these duties, correctly, safely and efficiently.
• Always ensuring these duties are completed in line with Company policies, including but not limited to, PPE, Food safety, allergen management, Health and Safety, ‘clean as you go’ and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Key Responsibilities
