About the Role

We will provide you with full training and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to enable you to safely and effectively work as a Site Services Operative to…

• Ensure site boundaries are maintained (fences are kept in good condition, grass cut, litter picked etc)
• Assist with ensuring site housekeeping standards are maintained (car park/office area etc)
• Assist Maintenance/Process/Production with various tasks as required
• Assist contractors as required ( Chubb with fire extinguisher checks, Hydro X with Legionella temperature checks etc)
• Van driving - collection/deliveries as required and maintenance of the van
• Ensure good operation of the paint plant and related machinery
• Ensure waste streams are maintained to a good standard as per company and environmental policies
• Ensure waste bailing is completed in a timely manner and housekeeping standards in the bailing building are maintained to a good standard
• Unloading of raw materials
• Ensure legal compliance checks on ladders, fire points, handrails etc are completed in a timely manner and to a high standard and all paperwork logged
• Ensure all equipment is in good working order and report any issues to the Maintenance Planner/Manager
• Assist storeman to maintain/improve stores area and procedures

Hours of Work: to , Monday to Friday

About You

You’ll enjoy working in a busy environment where you can roll your sleeves up and get hands-on. You will be flexible and able to adapt to the different daily priorities in the factory which help us run efficiently. You will also have:

• Current / valid UK driving license (sight of this will be requested)
• Fit enough to perform your duties, which are varied, and sometimes physically demanding
• Safety conscious with good exposure to health & safety standards
• Possess high standards and have a passion for improvement
• Positive, can-do attitude, adaptable and flexible approach
• Must be organised, efficient and reliable
• Ability to work unsupervised and use own initiative to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner
• Team player

Desirable but not essential:

• Strong organisational & planning abilities
• IT skills – working knowledge of MS Word, Excel & Outlook
• Experience of engineering in some form, either electrical or mechanical
• Previous experience of site services/grounds keeper
