Managing a team of Site Services Engineers – delegating and prioritising maintenance works
As the Site Service Manager, you will be responsible for all:
- Gas Systems
- HVAC Systems
- Drainage & Effluent
- Building & Facilities
- Infrastructure
- Boiler and Steam systems
- Compressed air systems
- Organising and managing all third-party contractors
- Managing all compliance across the site and carrying out regular inspections, e.g., legionella levels
- Looking at ways to improve the overall efficiency of the site, such as reducing energy consumption and waste management
- Managing any related projects and continuous improvement programmes
- Ensuring all maintenance activities are recorded appropriately
- Complying with health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures at all times
- Ensuring that all Department Systems & Policies are in place and being adhered to
- Ensuring safety & quality standards are being met
- Monitoring Technical Systems to provide documentary evidence supporting a “due diligence” defense in case of food safety or quality issues
Qualifications
- Time Served, qualified to a minimum of HND or equivalent in an engineering discipline
- Good communication skills with the ability to manage a team of engineers and contractors
Experience
- Experience in a senior Site Services, Utilities, or Facilities role, ideally with good knowledge of the manufacturing industry
