Managing a team of Site Services Engineers – delegating and prioritising maintenance works

As the Site Service Manager, you will be responsible for all:

1. Gas Systems
2. HVAC Systems
3. Drainage & Effluent
4. Building & Facilities
5. Infrastructure
6. Boiler and Steam systems
7. Compressed air systems
8. Organising and managing all third-party contractors
9. Managing all compliance across the site and carrying out regular inspections, e.g., legionella levels
10. Looking at ways to improve the overall efficiency of the site, such as reducing energy consumption and waste management
11. Managing any related projects and continuous improvement programmes
12. Ensuring all maintenance activities are recorded appropriately
13. Complying with health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures at all times
14. Ensuring that all Department Systems & Policies are in place and being adhered to
15. Ensuring safety & quality standards are being met
16. Monitoring Technical Systems to provide documentary evidence supporting a “due diligence” defense in case of food safety or quality issues

Qualifications

• Time Served, qualified to a minimum of HND or equivalent in an engineering discipline
• Good communication skills with the ability to manage a team of engineers and contractors

Experience

• Experience in a senior Site Services, Utilities, or Facilities role, ideally with good knowledge of the manufacturing industry
