Job summary

A reputable engineering company in Cheddar is seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee site engineers and maintain safety protocols. The ideal candidate has experience in engineering or manufacturing, excellent people management, and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities include supervising engineers, sourcing parts, and liaising with management. This role may require working outside of normal hours.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in an engineering or manufacturing background.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and PPE.

Job description
The Role

To provide supervision of site engineers, overseeing projects and maintaining safety protocols and implementing site processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Main point of contact for any site related issues that engineers are experiencing.
  • Supervision of site engineers to include quality monitoring and performance management.
  • Inform Site Service Manager when parts and materials are in for jobs so that these can be booked in.
  • Source and order spares for jobs as required.
  • Costing of jobs.
  • Provide cover for Site Service Manager as and when required.
  • Provide input for preparation of risk assessments and method statements.
  • Complete daily timesheets and ensure they are handed in as per procedure.
  • To be available for call out shift or overtime as directed by the Site Service Manager.
  • Assess training needs and provide relevant training and coaching where necessary.
  • Perform any other duties within your capabilities as directed by the Company
Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in engineering/manufacturing background.
