SITE SERVICE ENGINEER
Carbon60 is looking to recruit a Site Service Engineer to work for a leading Specialised Industrial Service Provider based in Southampton.
ROLE: Site Service Engineer
PAY RATE: between £17.44p/h & £19.22 p/h, 1.5x OT Monday to Saturday and 2x Sundays. OT is available but not guaranteed.
JOB TYPE: temp to perm
LOCATION: Southampton (SO16)
HOURS: Monday to Friday, 7am - 3:30pm Monday - Thursday, 7am - 14:30pm on Friday, 39 hours/week
THE ROLE:

  • You will carry out Repairs to all types of industrial equipment, including AC and DC motors, Motorised Gearboxes, Gearbox's, Pumps, Fan units, and other associated rotating equipment.
  • You will have the ability to fault find, identify, and rectify defects and worn / damaged components.
  • Have a minimum basic electrical testing capability to assess the electrical condition of AC & DC components.
  • Have sound mechanical engineering knowledge to identify and rectify faulty and worn/damaged components and understand reclamation techniques and reverse engineering options.
  • Pump experience, including hot oil and water, as well as basic hydraulic knowledge.


THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

  • You will be flexible and be prepared to work the hours required in a demanding and busy 24/7 service-oriented environment.
  • Participate in call-out rota as required.
  • CCNSG essential or another industry equivalent essential.
  • Water hygiene passport and individual customer training are desirable but not essential.
  • You will be used to working on-site in addition to the workshop when required.
  • Qualifications: NCQ/City and Guilds - fitting/turning/mechanical/electrical engineering relevant to industry on a case-by-case basis.
  • Largely mechanical duties and skillset required; electrical experience and abilities are beneficial.
