Job description

We are working with a Regional Development business with annual turnover in excess of £75million per annum. They produce circa 200 units per annum across Essex, Herts and North London.

They are currently looking to appoint a Site / Senior Site Manager to deliver a scheme of 100 units (refurbishment) of a Grade II listed building with planning for a further 100 new build units in the grounds of this former public building just off the M11 Stansted Airport.

You will be running this scheme alongside another Site / Senior Site Manager and will support each other on both external and internal elements of the project.

Suitable candidates will need have experience of Cut & Carve and Temporary Works and will lead a team including 2 x Assistant Site Managers and Gateman.

You will take responsibility for all activities from a construction view, health and safety, managing and motivated a dedicated and experienced management team.

The job role will involve the following duties:

  • Monitoring build progress, overseeing finance and ensuring project quality
  • Making strategic decisions and providing leadership and direction to project managers to implement those decisions
  • Meeting with clients, stakeholders and project managers to report on project progress
  • Liaising with clients and building strong working relationships
  • Devising cost-effective plans to enable effective project completion
  • Managing risks to avoid delays or reputational damage
  • Ensuring permits and legal papers are secured ahead of the project
  • Managing Senior Site Management and enabling them to supervise and manage their own teams

Ideally you will have knowledge of residential schemes from a new build or refurbishment background and will have a demonstrable history of delivering similar projects.
