The opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Security Manager based at our Luton site.
The Site Security Manager will lead the day-to-day direction, control, and planning of Physical, Personnel, and Information Security delivery at Leonardo Luton and Lincoln sites.
You will be responsible for the protection of company employees, assets, infrastructure, and capability in alignment with internal and external compliance requirements.
Reporting to the Security Operations Manager, you will use your knowledge and experience in Security to operate at all levels in the business to deliver functional and business requirements.
The role is site-based in Luton and will additionally require occasional travel to Leonardo Lincoln to support the operational delivery of Security.
What you’ll do as a Site Security Manager:
- Lead all Business Security day-to-day operational requirements in the delivery of current and future business objectives at the Leonardo Luton and Lincoln sites.
- Ensure compliance with policies, processes, and procedures to achieve operational objectives.
- Implement Security policies and procedures consistently.
- Manage, monitor, and report on security visits and inspections by Government and Contracting Authority.
- Ensure daily management, administration, and maintenance of all security technology to achieve operational effectiveness.
- Identify, document, mitigate, and monitor physical and personnel security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Contribute to business planning for security to ensure it is integral and mainstream.
- Develop internal and external security stakeholder relationships in support of the business and functional objectives.
- Act as an ambassador for Security to establish, develop, and support a security culture.
- Manage, motivate, and develop security teams and related resources for effective and timely delivery of Leonardo security requirements.
- Manage third-party suppliers and relationships to ensure cost-effective delivery of required services.
- Assume site Crypto Custodian responsibilities and complete associated assurance reviews and audits.
- Carry out security investigations.
- Respond to critical incidents.
- Provide comprehensive security-related advice and guidance.
What we need from you:
You really must have:
- Knowledge and experience in Operational Security Management, preferably within the Defence Industry.
- Strong leadership skills with experience of leading and motivating teams.
- Experience in implementing policy and guidance.
- Experience in building relationships with customers, partners, suppliers, and internal stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working as a Crypto custodian or an equivalent role.
Additional requirements include:
- Clear understanding of NPSA operational requirement processes and working with approved equipment catalogues.
- Ability to engage and influence key internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage internal and external issues to deliver business outcomes.
- Good planning and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate and present at a senior level.
