Our client seeks a highly skilled and proactive Site Security Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of security at a site in Hull. The successful candidate will play a key role in safeguarding the site, its assets, personnel, and sensitive information, ensuring a secure and compliant environment for both production and administrative operations.

This role involves leading a team of security personnel, ensuring compliance with UK port security regulations, managing risk, and maintaining a safe environment for both production and administrative areas. The manager is responsible for supervising staff, managing incidents, security technologies, and maintaining security documentation and reports.

Key Skills:
  • Leadership & Team Management: Supervising a team, including supervisors; performance management, rota planning, staff development.
  • Security Operations: Managing access control, perimeter security, and emergency response plans.
  • Risk Assessment: Conducting security audits and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Incident Management: Investigating breaches, thefts, and leading emergency responses.
  • Technical Proficiency: Overseeing CCTV, alarms, access systems, and related technologies.
  • Communication & Reporting: Preparing security reports and liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Compliance & Regulation: Ensuring adherence to legal, health and safety, and company policies.
  • Organizational Skills: Planning, delegating, and managing resources efficiently.
  • IT Literacy: Strong skills in Microsoft Office and report writing.
Qualifications Required:
  • Experience: Previous management experience in corporate security, HM Forces, or Police; experience in customer service and employee development; report writing, briefings, and emergency procedures.
  • Personal Attributes: Smart appearance, polite and courteous demeanor; physically capable of onsite duties; flexible, proactive, with a "can-do" attitude; committed to health & safety, equality, and quality service standards.
  • Licenses/Certifications: SIA Licence – Security Guard (SG), SIA Licence – CCTV, BS Clearance, First Aid Certification.
