Qualifications

Senior Midwife

We are looking to appoint a Senior Midwife with relevant operational understanding to join our site safety team at The Rosie Hospital. You will provide clinical and operational nursing and midwifery leadership across the Trust during the week, night shifts, weekends and bank holidays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide senior clinical and operational midwifery leadership across the Trust during the week, night shifts, weekends and bank holidays.
  • Ensure a safe, effective and progressive nursing and midwifery service to patients; support frontline staff to meet agreed targets within resources available.
  • Manage staff, redeploy as required to meet service needs.
  • Participate in specified projects and improvement work reflecting clinical, professional and corporate aims.
  • Advise to senior leadership on staffing red flags, nursing and midwifery acuity and quality improvement methodology.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Registered midwife with Band 7 or senior midwife experience and understanding of operational staffing.
  • Experience in leadership or management within a maternity setting.
  • Knowledge of safe staffing, staffing red flags, nursing and midwifery acuity.
