Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Lead – Observability

Rate: £450-£475 per day (Inside IR35)

Location: London (Remote/Hybrid)

Contract Role

We are seeking an experienced SRE Lead to drive observability initiatives, enhance system reliability, and support engineering teams. This role requires strong expertise in AWS, monitoring tools, DevOps practices, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead SRE best practices and observability strategy
2. Oversee monitoring tools (Datadog, CloudWatch, New Relic, etc.)
3. Work with AWS services (EC2, ECS, Lambda, VPC, etc.)
4. Automate infrastructure using Terraform/CloudFormation
5. Manage CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Nexus)
6. Develop scripts in Python/Shell for automation
7. Collaborate with product teams to improve system performance
8. Ensure compliance with security and operational standards

Key Requirements:

1. Strong SRE/DevOps experience
2. Expertise in monitoring, AWS, and CI/CD tools
3. Strong stakeholder management skills
4. SC eligibility required
