Client Server in Cambridge is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE Kubernetes) to join a fast-moving cybersecurity tech business. The role blends hands-on engineering with automation to boost reliability, resilience, and developer experience while supporting hybrid office work.

You will work across teams to embed best practices, monitor systems, and drive long-term fixes, with an emphasis on Kubernetes, cloud tooling, and observability in a UK-based team.

Qualifications

• Experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and reliability principles.
• Proficient in scripting with Go, Python or similar.
• Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Experience with containerisation and orchestration including Kubernetes.
• Familiar with observability practices: monitoring, logging, tracing.
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Collaborative with excellent communication skills.
• Degree educated, having achieved a 2.1 or above in a STEM discipline from a top tier university.

Site Reliability Engineer (SRE Kubernetes) Cambridge / WFH to £70k

As a Site Reliability Engineer / SRE you will work across teams to embed reliability best practices, improve system resilience and solve complex operational challenges. You will take a proactive approach to identifying risks, improving system observability and enhancing the developer experience through automation and tooling.

Key responsibilities will include developing tooling, frameworks and best practices to improve reliability and operational efficiency, monitoring system performance and implementing improvements to reduce incidents and downtime and conducting deep-dive investigations into incidents and systemic issues, driving long-term fixes.

Location / WFH:

About you:
