Job summary

Apple's Private Cloud Compute (PCC) team seeks an SRE Engineer to help operate services at global scale with strong automation, reliability and security. You will deploy, monitor and optimize critical systems, and participate in on-call duties.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on Kubernetes in public clouds (GCP/AWS), proficiency in Java/Python/Swift/TypeScript, and a passion for reducing toil through scalable tooling and IaC like Terraform or Pulumi.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating Kubernetes (GKE/EKS) in public cloud environments.
• Experience deploying and supporting new and existing services and stacks.
• Familiarity with scale testing, disaster recovery and capacity planning.
• Ability to automate repetitive manual tasks to improve efficiency.
• Proficiency in Java, Swift, Python or TypeScript.
• Experience with Nginx, Envoy and Prometheus and/or Docker.
