We are looking for graduates who can answer 'yes' to the above for our Site Reliability Engineer Graduate Programme.

The key thing to know is that your role will be broad and diverse, with lots of opportunity to develop. You will join our two-year programme as part of an SRE team, where you will use your technical and analytical skills to ensure the reliability and quality of the software we provide to our customers.

Job Description

During the programme you will:

  • Kick off with the Future Talent induction to introduce you to L&G and your new peers.
  • Work on real-world projects alongside experienced engineers, gaining practical experience in site reliability engineering.
  • Receive mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals in the field.
  • Enhance your knowledge in areas such as automation, monitoring, and performance optimization.
  • Implement Observability, automation tools and frameworks to streamline operations and reduce manual intervention.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for systems and processes to ensure knowledge sharing.
  • Attend workshops and training sessions to build a strong foundation in SRE principles and practices.
Qualifications

We are looking for people with passion for technology, an inquisitive mind, and a desire to learn. We are not expecting prior industry experience, but we will want to see that you have the skills to develop quickly. These include:

  • A 2.1 degree in a STEM subject is preferred. However, if your background is in a different field, we welcome you to demonstrate your interest and skills in Technology or Engineering.
  • Analytical mindset, with a high level of numeracy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Basic awareness of programming technologies such as Cloud Providers, Typescript/JavaScript frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.
