Job summary

Voleon is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to improve and monitor production infrastructure and data pipelines within a fast-paced financial tech environment. You will partner with software engineers and production operations to boost reliability and reduce operational risk.

You will diagnose issues, lead deployments, automate workflows, and engage in on-call rotations while communicating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or equivalent in a quantitative field or related experience.
• Strong Python coding and debugging skills.
• Solid Linux and SQL fundamentals.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Clear technical communication and collaboration skills.
• Minimum 2 years in industry with a focus on reliability or operations.

Responsibilities

• Improve fault-tolerance and maintainability of data pipelines and trading systems.
• Diagnose and fix bugs in production code.
• Lead complex deployments and coordinate releases.
• Automate manual workflows to reduce toil.
• Track and prioritize production-related issues.
• Participate in on-call rotation to ensure continuous operation.
