Job summary

Wates is seeking a Site Quantity Surveyor for a major construction project in South Derbyshire. You will join a high-performing commercial team and contribute to cost control, subcontractor management and successful financial outcomes throughout the project lifecycle.

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Site Quantity Surveyor with strong commercial management skills, capable of managing subcontractor packages and delivering robust cost control and reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in QS/site quantity surveying on construction projects.
• Strong cost control and commercial reporting abilities.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support commercial management of work packages from procurement to final account.
• Manage subcontractor relationships, prepare valuations and forecasts, monitor costs and support change and risk management.
• Provide accurate reporting and commercial insight to support project performance and decision-making.
