Job summary

Sccsinternational is seeking a site-based Quantity Surveyor for a major project in the Ambleside area. The role reports to the Commercial Lead and handles commercial and contractual matters on the site, with potential to manage an assistant surveyor.

On larger projects, duties may extend under a Senior or Managing Quantity Surveyor. NEC contracts experience and a relevant QS or commercial-management degree with an RICS-accredited course are stated requirements.

Qualifications

• Quantity surveying experience required on site.
• Experience with NEC contracts is preferred.
• Relevant civil engineering or infrastructure exposure is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Forecasting project costs and values.
• Prepare cost and value reporting and monthly valuations.
• Manage procurement and cash-flow monitoring.
• Advise site team on contract requirements and notices.
• Define scope, measure work, and review subcontract records.
• Monitor scope risks and participate in programming matters.
