Job summary

BELECTRIC UK, part of the Elevion Group, is seeking a Site Quality Engineer to provide quality management services across concurrent turn-key EPC solar PV and battery storage projects in the UK. You will oversee on-site quality activities, coordinate with the engineering team, and support the commissioning phase to ensure regulatory and contractual compliance.

The role requires hands-on review of documentation, adherence to CDM for HSE, and management of NCRs and site quality records.

Qualifications

• Qualified or vocational training in electrical engineering.
• CSCS card – white, green or gold.
• BS7671 level 3 – 2382 and 2391 electrical inspection/testing.

Responsibilities

• On-site quality management of utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Storage projects.
• Review installation works against quality and contractual requirements with project engineering.
• Supervise electromechanical works and support other team members as required.
• Support site manager with CDM regulations for health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Implement Project Quality Plan, ITPs, installation inspection, SAT, testing activities.

BELECTRIC is looking for a Site Quality Engineer to provide quality management services across our concurrent turn-key EPC solar PV and battery storage projects in the UK.

What you’ll be doing:

• On site quality management of utility scale Solar PV and Battery Storage projects.
• Reviewing installation works against quality and contractual requirements in coordination with project engineering team.
• Supervision of Electromechanical Works primarily and Support other team members as required
• Support site manager with CDM regulations for HSE compliance
• Implementation of Project Quality Plan, ITPs, Installation Inspection, SAT, testing etc
• Support commissioning team as required
• Timely completion of site quality checklists, inspections, and tests.
• Sub-Contractor Management -Co-Ordination with Sub-contractors on a day-to-day basis on all Quality topics.
• Ensure site quality documentation is prepared and delivered for project milestones, completion handover to O&M team/ Client.
• Identify and escalation any NCR’s or risks to budget, programme, or quality to Project Management team.
• Checking of material onsite inspection upon delivery to confirm suitability of the materials as per design and regulations.
• Weekly Reporting to Project Quality Manager on Site Quality.
• Maintain tools & Calibration records at site
• Audit support to Project Quality team

What We’re Looking For

• Qualification or vocational training in electrical engineering
• CSCS card – white, green or gold.
• BS7671 – level 3 – 2382
• BS7671 – Initial and periodic electrical inspection and testing - 2391
• Good knowledge of quality management.
• Experience with renewable energy technologies in the UK, preferably solar PV and/or battery storage
• Ability to be hands on with reviewing documentation from stakeholders and maintaining at site level throughout the project.
• Driving Requirement: This role requires regular driving as part of the duties. Applicants must hold a full, valid UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points. Licence checks will be made prior to employment.
• Flexibility - the role will require managing several sites, staying locally during the construction phase.
