Job summary

365 Recruit is seeking an experienced Site Quality Engineer to support a live construction project. The role involves inspecting ongoing and completed works, recording site data, and maintaining clear quality records on site.

You will identify defects or non-conformances, verify works against drawings and specifications, and liaise with Site Managers, Project Managers and subcontractors to drive quality assurance and documentation for handover.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Site Engineer in construction
• Strong experience inspecting and recording construction works
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Understanding of construction quality standards and tolerances
• Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping
• Proficient with tablets, laptops and digital site reporting systems
• Confident identifying defects/non-conformances
• Clear communication with site management and subcontractors
• Organised across multiple inspection areas
• Preferably holds CSCS/SSSTS/SMSTS or equivalent

Responsibilities

Site Quality Engineer

We are recruiting for an experienced Site Quality Engineer to support the delivery of a live construction project.

The role will primarily involve inspecting completed and ongoing works, accurately recording site data and maintaining clear quality and technical records. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently on site, identifying defects or non-conformances and ensuring that works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and required standards.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Site Engineer within the construction industry
• Strong experience inspecting and recording construction works
• Able to confidently interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Good understanding of construction quality standards and tolerances
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills
• Competent using tablets, laptops and digital site reporting systems
• Confident identifying and documenting defects and non-conformances
• Able to communicate effectively with site management and subcontractors
• Organised and capable of managing inspections across multiple work areas
• Relevant construction or engineering qualification preferred
• Valid CSCS card or SSSTS OR SMSTS

This position would suit a practical, site-based Engineer who is technically competent and particularly strong in inspection, quality control and accurate recording of construction information
