About the opportunity

The Repository Infrastructure Framework is an engineering, design and construction framework being delivered on the Nuclear Waste Services Low Level Waste Repository site at Drigg in Cumbria.

The team needs to grow to accommodate an increase in workload for at least the next 12 months.

For our site in Drigg, we are seeking a Site Quality Assurance Engineer. You will report to the RIF Quality Manager and work with the Site QA/QC team.

Some of your duties:

1. Review, and endorse as appropriate, Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans; undertaking associated compliance verification activities as appropriate.
2. Understand and implement the processes necessary for the provision of timely appropriate Quality support.
3. Conduct Quality audits of site activities and sub-contractor operations on site, and off site as directed, in accordance with the Project Audit Schedule.
4. Ensure the quality standards of the Project are consistently met, raising the authorized project documentation where this is not the case.
5. Oversee subcontractors, compile and review lifetime records.
6. Maintain package status & progress reporting, raise issues, and liaise with the project and client QA/QC team.

Here's What You'll Need:

• Experience working in a QA or QC function within the nuclear sector.
• Understanding of ISO 9001 quality management systems and Sellafield CQRM.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification.
• CQI membership.
