Role Overview
We are seeking a Chemical / Process Engineer with extensive Process Project Engineering experience to join a global FMCG manufacturing company in the Northwest. The role involves managing project engineering services to support manufacturing operations, including specification, installation, commissioning, and validation of process and utilities support equipment.
Responsibilities
- Lead process understanding, project engineering capabilities, and engineering projects in manufacturing processing areas.
- Manage multi-million pound budgets, oversee detailed design with suppliers, and lead commissioning of process equipment and utilities.
- Contribute to process design and generate innovative engineering solutions for continuous improvement.
- Manage equipment selection, specifications, and procurement for manufacturing processes.
- Provide technical expertise on existing and new engineering equipment.
- Lead technical project engineering practices and ensure compliance with site procedures.
- Support process improvement projects, CAPEX initiatives, RCAs, validation activities, and investigate new technologies.
Requirements
- Experience in implementing process improvement and efficiency projects in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- BSc/BEng in Process or Chemical Engineering or related field.
- Experience in Process, Food & Drink, Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, FMCG, or similar industries.
- Operational knowledge of manufacturing equipment.
- Track record of leading engineering projects in processing environments.
- Experience in technology transfer and product development processes.
- Strong project engineering management skills.
