Project Manager (Site-Based)

Location: Between Pendine & Aberporth

Sector: Defence / MOD Refurbishment Projects

Job Type: Freelance - Initially 6 months with a view to be extended

We are seeking an experienced Site-Based Project Manager to oversee the delivery of small-scale refurbishment projects for a key MOD provider. This role is ideal for a confident, hands-on professional with a strong background in construction project delivery within secure or high-compliance environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of multiple refurbishment projects on MOD sites
  • Coordinate and lead site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Oversee project schedules, ensuring delivery within agreed timelines and budgets
  • Monitor site compliance with health & safety regulations, CDM, and security protocols
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders, providing regular progress reports
  • Identify and mitigate risks and resolve site-based issues as they arise
  • Ensure quality control and snagging processes are completed to a high standard
  • Support procurement planning and resource allocation

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site or Project Manager in construction, ideally within MOD or high-security environments
  • Strong working knowledge of H&S legislation and CDM
  • Ability to manage multiple small projects simultaneously
  • SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications preferred
