Overview

We are seeking an experienced Site Project Manager (contract or permanent) with a strong mechanical engineering bias to oversee site operations for a major infrastructure build. The successful candidate will join an active site team in various locations around the UK, delivering projects running for up to a year, for various clients including OEMs. This is a site-based role, requiring hands-on leadership, coordination of multidisciplinary teams, and close collaboration with client representatives and subcontractors.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily site operations and ensure project milestones are met
  • Coordinate mechanical and electrical works, ensuring integration across disciplines
  • Manage subcontractors, site personnel, and rotating teams
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and site protocols
  • Liaise with client-side engineers and OEM representatives
  • Monitor progress, report issues, and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain site documentation and contribute to project reporting
Candidate Profile
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager or Project Manager on large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects
  • Strong mechanical engineering background; familiarity with electrical systems is a plus
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage rotating teams and maintain continuity across shifts
  • Comfortable working in a remote site environment with extended hours
  • Experience working with international clients or OEMs preferred
Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • SMSTS or equivalent site safety certification
  • CSCS card (Black or White) is desirable
  • First Aid and other relevant site qualifications is advantageous
