Job summary

Wright Engineering in Nottinghamshire, UK is seeking Site Platers to join on-site teams across the UK, performing duties on new-build, maintenance, and overhaul work.

You will read GA drawings, install and maintain conveyors and ash handling equipment, and undertake on-site fabrication and repairs while upholding high safety standards. Training can be provided for MEWP, Slinger banksman and PASMA.

Qualifications

• Experience of working on medium to heavy engineering.
• Reading GA drawings and detailed drawings.
• On-site fabrication and modifications.
• Installation of new equipment and repairs to old.
• Work to the highest safety standards, training available for MEWP, Slinger banksman and PASMA.

Nottinghamshire - 22.47 Hourly GBP Full Time

Established for over 30 years, Wright engineering are looking to recruit enthusiastic and experienced Platers/Steel Erectors/Fitters/Pipe Fitters to join our team servicing sites across the UK. This is the perfect opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic person to thrive, working within a successful and vibrant team.

Overview:

• Working on sites across the UK on new-build, maintenance, and overhaul work.
• Wide variety of work ranging for power stations, waste recovery, building product manufacture and quarrying.
• Promotion opportunities available.

The skills required:

• Experience of working on medium to heavy engineering.
• Reading engineering GAs and detailed drawings.
• Installing and maintaining a wide range of equipment such as conveyors, ash handling equipment.
• On site fabrications and modifications.
• Installation of new equipment and repairs to old.
• Working to the highest of safety standards.
• Plant operations such as MEWP, Loadall, Slinger banksman and PASMA would be benefit but training can be given.

Salary & Benefits:

• Competitive salary starting at 22.47/hour (This includes working away allowance and sustenance allowance)
• Standard overtime rate of 27.70/hour and 36.94/hour on Sundays.
