Job description
Overview

We have an exciting opportunity to join our water treatment team as a Site Performance Manager. This role is a demanding but rewarding opportunity at one of our key operational sites — one of our largest water production facilities, providing high-quality drinking water to approximately £3.5 million customers.

Base location: Coppermills (WTW) - E177HE

Working pattern or hours: 36 Hours per week (Mon – Fri), plus the inclusion onto a standby rota for which you will receive additional payment.

Responsibilities
  • To ensure both Thames Water employees and contractors work in a safe and secure environment and go home safely and well at the end of each working day.
  • To make sure Water Production sites achieve their planned availability and reliability in terms of quality and quantity at the agreed cost.
  • Make sure that the team and individuals deliver exceptional service both to internal and external customers, working towards an improved SIM score.
  • To ensure budgetary control in accordance with the Financial Control procedures to meet the business plan (OPEX & CAPEX).
  • Make sure individuals in the team understand what is expected of them in order to achieve optimal performance in conjunction with the company's PDR process and timeline.
  • Making sure the team feel motivated, valued, and engaged in all aspects of their work.
  • Maintain and contribute to a succession plan as part of the wider Water Production team.
Qualifications
  • Full UK Driving License Required
  • Can demonstrate good qualities such as Leadership, Empathy, and a calm demeanour under pressure.
  • A great team player with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous Process knowledge gained through hands-on development.
  • Technical ability and understanding of all process areas.
Desirable skills
  • A qualification in the Management of Water Production is highly desirable.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH training is highly desirable.
