The Opportunity

As the Site Payment Manager, you will oversee activities within the Global Site Payment function, supporting both early and late-stage Clinical Operations. You'll contribute to project timelines by preparing performance reports during feasibility studies and throughout the lifecycle of site payments and study timelines. You will also ensure clinical site payments are delivered promptly according to contractual timelines. This role may include managing direct reports and overseeing contractors. You will report to the Site Payment Lead within the Clinical Operations function.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Managing site payments within the Veeva Site Payment system, supporting day-to-day operations of site payment processing in compliance with GCP / ICH guidelines, financial compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  2. Handling and executing material related to site payments within the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry.
  3. Proactively identifying and resolving payment issues throughout the study lifecycle, including management of escalations.
  4. Overseeing site payment systems, standards, and processes to ensure timely payments via vendors or internal systems.
  5. Managing CRO resources for study delivery, including quality checks and oversight for outsourced activities related to site payments.
Essential Knowledge & Experience
  • Updated on payment status to Clinical Study teams and leadership.
  • Supported review or drafting of guidance and training materials, including business practice documentation.
  • Involved in developing metrics for the functional area, including measurement and monitoring, with recommendations for performance enhancement.
  • Supported capacity planning and site payment algorithms to estimate resources and workload.
  • Fluent in English and French (business proficiency).
Preferred Experience
  • Global experience within a CRO or pharmaceutical setting.
  • People management experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory, legal, and data privacy issues, including GDPR.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to explain legal issues clearly.
Education

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience.

Additional Information
  • This is a permanent full-time position.
  • Based in the UK or France.
  • Follows our hybrid working model, requiring a minimum of 1 day per quarter in the office. Flexibility may be required based on business needs. Candidates must be within a commutable distance to the office.
