Site Operative - Anaerobic Digestion

Up to £32,000 per annum, located in North Yorkshire. Alecto Recruitment is working with a leading company in the Anaerobic Digestion sector to find a Site Operative to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, maintain high standards of safety and compliance, and keep the facility running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, inspections, and fault diagnostics
  • Maintain site cleanliness, housekeeping, and safe working conditions
  • Manage stock, tools, and critical spares to minimise downtime
  • Operate site equipment, including weighing, receiving, and dispatching materials
  • Take and process samples, ensuring accurate testing and timely data upload
  • Organise contractors, service schedules, and ensure compliance with RAMS and permits
  • Complete accurate records, reports, and filing in line with site requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Prior experience working in Anaerobic Digestion or similar process-driven environments (e.g., wastewater treatment or chemical processing) is essential
  • Familiarity with SCADA or DCS systems for plant operation and monitoring is beneficial
  • Capable of performing routine mechanical tasks and basic equipment maintenance
  • Experience or certification in operating telehandlers, wheel loaders, or comparable mobile plant equipment is considered beneficial
  • Able to interpret mechanical drawings and advise on what parts are required to complete repairs
