Job summary

Altrad UK, Ireland & Nordics is seeking a Safety-focused site operative to support multi-discipline teams on heavy industrial projects in the United Kingdom. The role follows an 11-day fortnight schedule and mobilisation between October and November, with exact dates to be confirmed.

You will work under the NAECI agreement; no lodge or travel paid, local labour only. Responsibilities include assisting pipefitters, welders, riggers, and other trades, maintaining stores, carrying out fire watch,

Qualifications

• General education and safety awareness required.
• CCNSG Safety Passport or equivalent site safety certification is required.
• IOSH Managing Safely is desirable.
• Forklift Truck certification desirable where forklift duties apply.
• Fire Watch training desirable where required.
• Experience in industrial environments such as oil & gas or petrochemical is desirable.
• understands permits to work, risk assessments and safe systems of work.

Responsibilities

• Support site trades and supervision teams in safe and efficient delivery of project activities.
• Prepare work areas prior to engineering activities, ensuring safety requirements are met.
• Assist Pipefitters, Welders, Riggers and other trades with day-to-day site activities.
• Gather, transport and distribute tools, equipment and materials to designated areas.
• Operate site stores and maintain control of materials, consumables and equipment.
• Carry out housekeeping and reinstate areas to a safe condition after work.
