About The Role

Location: Eastbourne

• Salary: £12.50 per hour / £29,350.46 per annum
• Working hours: 45 hours per week, Monday - Friday
• Full PPE provided

Responsibilities

• Operate loading shovels, FLT & telehandlers across the site, loading various vehicles such as curtain-sided, shipping containers, and bulk haulage walking floors.
• Ensure the safe and efficient operation of fixed machinery like bailing machines.
• Perform daily checks and maintenance of mobile plant and equipment.
• Direct customer vehicles to disposal areas and assist with off-loading.
• Assist Sampling Operatives with collection of output samples.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the site.
• Support production staff during shift clean-ups and plant downtime.
• Participate in lean and 5S activities to maintain an organized workplace.
• Work as part of a team to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
• Perform any other duties reasonably within the scope of the role.

Requirements

• Enthusiastic team player willing to train and obtain mobile plant operation qualifications.
• Flexible approach to cover holiday and sick days if needed.
• Safety-conscious with a desire to develop and embrace change for continuous improvement.
• Experience in waste industry or high-volume production is advantageous but not necessary.
