Job summary

SUEZ in Exeter is seeking a customer-focused site operative to support visitors and ensure safe, efficient operation of the site. You will help people use the site to maximise recovery of materials and maintain accurate records.

You will work as part of a team, cover holidays, and training may include IOSH health and safety qualifications. A flexible approach and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Good level of customer service and ability to work in a team.
• Ideally prior mobile plant use is desirable but full training will be given.
• Flexible approach to work and cover holidays/sick days as required.

Responsibilities

• Providing excellent levels of customer service to members of the public on how to use the site.
• Advise and assist on site to maximise recovery of materials deposited.
• Maintain accurate records for removal of materials from the site.
• Control exchange of containers by booking loads with the relevant person to ensure space for storage.
• Keep the site tidy within your area of responsibility.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and welfare obligations for employees and others.
