Job summary

The Trinity Catholic School A Voluntary Academy is seeking a dedicated Site Operator to manage a safe, welcoming and well‑maintained school environment. This full‑time role reports to the Site Manager and requires hands-on upkeep, repairs and coordination with contractors.

With a 37‑hour week split across two shifts (Early and Late), you will help protect pupils and staff while supporting room setups, health and safety checks and day‑to‑day site operations. DBS checks apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day operation, maintenance and security of the school site.
• Carry out routine repairs, maintenance tasks and basic decorating.
• Support upkeep of buildings, grounds and facilities.
• Assist with room setups for lessons, examinations, events and community activities.
• Support the monitoring and operation of site systems, including heating, lighting and alarms.
• Undertaking health and safety checks and assisting with compliance requirements.
• Work with contractors and supporting site projects as required.
• Helping to maintain a clean, welcoming and professional environment for all site users.

Late Shift - Start date: 30 November 2026

• Monday to Thursday: 1.15pm to 9.15pm
• Friday: 11.00am to 6.30pm

Early Shift - Start date: 4 January 2027

• Monday to Thursday: 5.30am to 1.30pm
• Friday: 5.30am to 1.00pm

Your mission as Site Operator

Working alongside the Site Manager and wider premises team, you will play an important role in ensuring our school site is safe, secure and well maintained. Responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the day-to-day operation, maintenance and security of the school site.
• Carrying out routine repairs, maintenance tasks and basic decorating duties.
• Supporting the upkeep of school buildings, grounds and facilities.
• Assisting with room setups for lessons, examinations, events and community activities.
• Supporting the monitoring and operation of site systems, including heating, lighting and alarms.
• Undertaking health and safety checks and assisting with compliance requirements.
• Working with contractors and supporting site projects as required.
• Helping to maintain a clean, welcoming and professional environment for all site users.
