Be the Backbone of Recycling: Join Us as a Site Operative

Location: Worthing Household Waste Recycling Centre

Salary: £12.40 per hour + recycling bonus

Hours:

1. Summer - any 5 days in 7, including weekends; Winter - closed on Thursdays
2. HWRS Summer - 8:45am to 6:15pm; HWRS Winter - 8:45am to 4:15pm (Closed Thursdays)

The Role

As a Site Operative, you will ensure the safe and efficient operation of our recycling centre. Your responsibilities include assisting visitors, maintaining the site, and supporting environmental sustainability efforts.

Core Responsibilities

1. Support daily operations to ensure smooth functioning
2. Assist visitors with waste sorting and recycling
3. Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of the site
4. Prevent non-compliant waste from entering the site
5. Promote recycling and waste segregation
6. Contribute to environmental and community well-being
7. Gain experience in a dynamic outdoor environment
8. Feel the satisfaction of reducing waste and increasing recycling
