Job summary

Landmarc Support Services seeks a Site Operative to look after Training Estate facilities at Halton Training Camp, Lancaster. You will clean accommodation blocks and maintain grounds to keep a safe, sustainable space for Armed Forces training.

This permanent, on-site role runs 07:00–23:59, Monday to Sunday. A UK driving licence is essential; BPSS clearance is required. No prior experience needed, just a can-do attitude and basic IT skills.

Qualifications

• General housekeeping and caretaking knowledge.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to complete documentation.
• Basic IT skills with ability to use a tablet.
• Applicants must hold a valid UK driving licence due to rural location.

Responsibilities

• Looking after the camp's general cleanliness, ensuring it is fit for purpose.
• Cleaning offices, communal facilities and accommodation blocks, including ablutions and showers.
• Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and vacuuming.
• General building maintenance.
• Basic grounds maintenance.
• Stock management tasks.
• Complete all relevant documentation using IT and paper systems.
• Carry out any other additional requirements as needed.

Job Introduction

Landmarc Support Services is currently seeking to recruit a Site Operative to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for looking after the Training Estate facilities, typical tasks will include cleaning accommodation blocks, and maintaining the grounds and buildings to ensure a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to stay while they train.

• Salary: £26,875.72 + £1,127.50 Variable Days Allowance
• Location: Halton Training Camp, Lancaster, LA2 6LW
• Contract: Permanent / Full-time / On-site
• Hours: 07:00 - 23:59 Monday - Sunday
