Job summary

Stonbury is recruiting Site Operatives based in Beverley for clean water sites. Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will deliver works on Water Utility contracts with travel and overnighters as part of the role.

We offer £14.38 per hour, PPE and training, 24 days’ holiday (25 after two years), a healthcare cash plan, voucher schemes, and a 6% pension contribution.

Qualifications

• On-site labourer experience.
• Ability to travel and stay away from home as required.
• Familiarity with PPE and on-site safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Assist with site preparation, unloading and storing materials and plant.
• Store, handle, use and dispose of materials safely.
• Perform drainage, kerb laying, timber shuttering and material mixing tasks.
• Operate heavy machinery with CPCS training where applicable.
• Maintain a safe, tidy site and wear PPE at all times.
• Follow safety handbook and site instructions.
• Work with minimal supervision and take initiative on health & safety.

Job description

We are recruiting for Site Operatives based in Beverley working on clean water sites.

£14.38 per hour with opportunities for price work

We specialise in sustainable water asset management solutions, delivering exceptional value outcomes in potable water, wastewater and the environment.

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering works on our Water Utility and Environmental Agency contracts.

Travel and overnighters will be part of the job.

• Assist with the preparation of sites, including unloading and storing of building materials and plant
• Store, handle, use and dispose of materials in the correct manner
• Perform physical tasks such as basic timber shuttering, drainage and kerb laying, material mixing and application
• Operate heavy machinery in conjunction with CPCS training e.g. diggers/dumpers/compressors
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment including wearing full PPE, at all times
• Follow the Company Safety Handbook, and all other safety instructions
• Follow all training and reasonable instructions given
• Experience of working on-site, in a labourer capacity.
• Be self-motivated and have the ability to complete daily tasks with minimum supervision.
• Ability to work at heights safely, following relevant training.
• Ability to follow instructions and accept personal responsibility.
• Ability to lift, carry and push equipment.
• Ability to act on initiative, particularly in respect to Health & Safety and reporting relevant matters.
• Demonstrate good driving skills in company vans, where driving will be monitored and tracked.
• Willingness to attend training courses, as and when required.
• Willingness to travel and work away from home, as and when required.
