Job Description:

My client is seeking a Site Operations & Warehouse Manager to oversee warehousing and domestic transport within a busy Airfreight and distribution centre. Responsibilities include managing site operations, facilities, logistics solutions, and ensuring cost efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage transport administration, planning, and third-party carriers, including warehouse inbound and outbound activities.
• Oversee stock management, staff, and resource allocation.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping, and a safe working environment.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives aligned with a kaizen environment.
• Coordinate with customers and internal teams to meet quality standards, KPIs, and SLAs, while controlling costs.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and manage related issues.
• Handle site maintenance, environmental standards, and liaise with contractors and landlords.
• Act as Security Responsible Person.

Additional Duties:

• Plan resources and staff to meet daily operational needs.
• Manage operational supervisors and ensure timely completion of activities.
• Maintain risk assessments, SSOW, and manage operational costs.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance.
• Coordinate maintenance of machinery and security equipment.
• Facilitate communication between team members, management, customers, and suppliers.
• Manage domestic transport activities with the Transport Manager and 3PL partners.
• Promote continuous improvement and warehouse housekeeping.
• Handle staff disciplinary actions in collaboration with HR.
• Monitor staff performance, attendance, and training records.

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 3 years’ managerial experience in warehouse and transport environments.
• Experience in airfreight operations.
• Strong leadership and team motivation skills.
• Flexible, reliable, and able to work under pressure.
• Certified in Security and Health & Safety; H&S Representative preferred.
• Experience working within budgets.
• Excellent communication skills.
• O Licence preferred; training available.
