Role Summary and Main Purpose of Position
As Operations & Site Manager at Holywell Green, you will be responsible for delivering the highest quality of service to our Custom Packaging and Composites customer base in the EMEA region.
You will manage all customer services, production, warehouse, and distribution activities related to custom packaging and composites, and liaise closely with Supply Chain, QHSE, and Sales teams to ensure total customer satisfaction.
Your responsibilities include understanding the company's strategic and commercial targets, structuring activities to meet current and future objectives, setting policies, procedures, and KPIs, and managing, coaching, and supporting your team.
- Maintain a customer-first attitude throughout your team.
- Oversee facility management at Holywell Green, including scheduled maintenance of the building and critical plant equipment.
- Manage customer services, production, warehouse, and distribution processes to comply with the Quality Management System and improve productivity.
- Support the customer services team to meet company targets, controlling resources effectively.
- Take ownership of customer issues and ensure resolution.
- Coordinate with the supply chain team to meet inventory targets, optimize stock, and improve supplier performance.
- Oversee reporting for supplier and business performance using ERP software, and manage process creation and harmonization.
- Ensure operational delivery for production, delegated customer locations, or third-party providers, providing necessary support and resources.
- Implement a Sales and Operational Plan (S&OP) to improve forecasting and stock management.
- Provide HR support on staffing, disciplinary issues, training, and development.
- Oversee IT systems and CRM platform to support business operations.
- Participate in UK-level cross-functional meetings to contribute to strategic development.
- Ensure health and safety policies are implemented and adhered to at the Holywell Green site.
- Perform any other duties reasonably requested by the General Manager.
Key Challenges (and KPIs)
- Develop service procedures, policies, and standards to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Analyze statistics and prepare detailed reports as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date ERP data, including pricing and trade agreements.
- Motivate and manage departmental performance, identify training opportunities, and facilitate development.
- Coordinate supply chain activities and hold regular team meetings.
- Monitor and report on performance metrics for departments and individuals.
- Achieve and exceed operational targets for responsible departments.
