Site Operations Manager Elior at SS Great Britain

Location: Bristol

Elior is proud to partner with the UK’s iconic heritage site, the SS Great Britain. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Operations Manager to oversee the relaunch of our on-site restaurant and drive the success of all catering and event operations.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity for a dynamic Operations Manager with a background in restaurant management and event operations. You will lead the relaunch of the restaurant, deliver memorable dining experiences, and manage a busy calendar of private events, corporate functions, and large-scale hospitality occasions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the restaurant relaunch, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence from day one.
• Oversee all aspects of daily restaurant operations, including front-of-house service, kitchen coordination, and supplier relationships.
• Manage catering and hospitality services for various events at SS Great Britain, such as weddings, conferences, and private functions.
• Recruit, select, and onboard a new team ahead of the relaunch.
• Lead staff training and development to build a motivated, skilled team delivering consistent quality and service.
• Maintain health & safety, food hygiene, and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with the wider Elior team and SS Great Britain management for seamless service delivery.
• Work towards financial targets, monitor budgets, and ensure profitability across operations.

About You

We seek a proactive, hands-on leader who is highly organized and commercially savvy. You will have:

• Proven experience in restaurant management with strong operational and financial skills.
• Experience in event management and hospitality operations, preferably in a venue-based environment.
• Exceptional team leadership skills, with recruitment and training experience.
• A passion for delivering memorable guest experiences.
• Strong planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
