The opportunity

We are seeking highly motivated Site Managers with proven site management and supervision in trade teams in New Zealand who has experience with a main contractor on large projects in New Zealand.

As a Site Manager, you will be experienced in overseeing the construction phase of projects from commencement to completion and have the appropriate skills for developing and motivating others. You will also implement our Health and Safety culture and be committed to achieve a zero-harm work environment.

It would be expected that you take ownership of outcomes for assigned projects, ensuring that the projects are delivered safely and successfully by developing a team oriented and collaborative work environment with a quality and cost-effective service being delivered to our clients.

Skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years experience as a site manager leading all site functions in large commercial, industrial projects
  • A proven track record of delivering complex and challenging projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with the quality and safety standards
  • Excellent people skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse and high-performing team
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with various stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, project management software, and other relevant tools and applications
  • A valid driver's licence and a willingness to travel to different sites as required
